In a former recent blog post we told you that the only architectural feature my home did NOT offer me was the most ideal, protected, and DRY location to sit and experience storms as they make their way up and down the valley and over our mountain. My initial idea was that the wisteria-covered front porch arbor would do the trick but I was wrong. June 2023 saw us finally artfully solve our dilemma and complete the quest.

Joshua unpacked this monster awning while Juan googled a u-tube installation video which proved marginally helpful. We had to move and adapt some electric conduit and remove the non-functioning but ever-popular front porch chandelier. The chandelier is finding a new home over the upper pond in case you miss it.

The install actually went off with only one minor hitch so watch the evolution.

And here we are all tricked out in black and white – yea!
