. . . THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS . . .

Through the looking glass . . . Of all the beautiful and artful architectural features of my home, the large number of windows and perhaps most particularly the arched ones, figure prominently in the character of TSH.  Various of those window frames are in gross need of our attention so we are beginning what we consider to be a massive albeit overdue and much-needed window repair project here at TSH. All of our windows are original so hanging on to what remains is vital to the integrity of my home. The worst damage appears in direct correlation with direct, lengthy sun exposure. Many times, we fail to document the PRE-WORK condition so we decided to rectify that overlooktion this time.  Here is our current status.

Our plan is straightforward – one window at a time beginning with the front atrium window we will scrape, seal, sand, then paint with a fine quality exterior trim paint. Many windows will simply be repainted even if no real repairs are required. Joshua will be scheduling a dedicated period of his days and time to ensure we keep moving right along while still keeping up with the gardens, ponds, and bees. I anticipate it will take up to 4-6 weeks of intermittent effort.
