WILL THE REAL ARTISTS PLEASE STAND UP?
At this time of the ‘frenzied chaos of summer’ as we call it, there is nearly no distinguishing between the subjects and objects of beauty presented by the Earth Mother. We were recently graced with a visit from long-standing painters MarySue and Bill Schwab.

As plein air painters, one of their many challenges is going with the environmental/weather ‘flow’ – the absence of the ability to control the shifting light and other elements enjoyed by studio painters. It has been what seems like eons since we basked in the presence of an artist working creative magic on site let alone two – truly exhilarating.

Perhaps their presence caused everyone to put their best foot forward as both object and subject of creative genius.

Here is the gospel of andrea’s garden according to Schwab! Thanks for the honour of your presence.
Paintings by Mary Sue Veerkamp-Schwab:

The Chauffeurs Quarters

The Chauffeurs Quarters
The Surgeon’s House, a delightful place to stay, but a haven for artists!
The gardens are an oasis with a breathtaking view in every direction. Wanting to immortalize our room, I chose a scene that welcomes the viewer. The bright red door with dappled light falling across, saying “Glad you are here!”
Please contact the artist MarySue Schwab at msvschwab@gmail.com to discuss commissions and artwork that is for sale.
Paintings by Bill Schwab:

Jerome Hill Street

Giroux Street
The view of the Surgeon’s House, looking down Hill Street to the town of Jerome represents an irresistible tableau to a plein air painter. The history of the town and the stories behind its survival and restoration of some of its beautiful buildings are an inspiration to any visual artist. I hope my paintings capture some of the charm and uniqueness that belongs distinctly to Jerome. I could spend years painting here!
Please contact the artist Bill Schwab at billschwab@me.com to discuss commissions and artwork that is for sale.
Would anyone like to take a guess as to where Bill’s interpretation of TSH and MarySue’s capture of the Chauffeur’s Quarters will reside from now on . . .? What a privilege – thanks to both of you.
Beautiful objects and subjects of art are apt to turn anyone upside down and dangling!

And look who are presenting themselves for the first time this season to be a part of this artistic panorama!
