Purchased by its current owner in 1992, this historic gem was built in 1917 and earned a spot on the National Historic Registry in 1966. Originally part of the George W. Hull Homestead Tract, its purchase price of one million dollars by the United Verde Copper Company speaks to its significance. Once the nurses’ residence, it later became the home of Chief Surgeon Dr. Arthur Carlson and his family. After years of neglect, it has been restored to its former glory. Each suite offers a luxurious retreat with a California king bed, private bath, and balcony or patio. Impeccable housekeeping, luxury linens and complimentary snacks ensure a comfortable stay. Indulge in the master suite, occupying half of the second story, or go for the Chauffeur’s Quarters or Maid’s Suites, each holding its own unique charm. “I have to say, out of every single hotel, suite, airbnb, ANYWHERE that I have stayed, this is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. I cannot say ENOUGH amazing things about this gorgeous place. It is truly MAGICAL here, honestly.
We accidentally stumbled onto Andrea’s property and were so curious because the outside was SO beautiful and inviting. She gave us a quick tour and we FELL IN LOVE. It is SO cozy and SO beautiful inside and out in the garden. We made it a point to come back.
A couple months later we came back and the hospitality here is just perfect. I love every single room here; there are so many stories to tell about this place!! It is so comfortable and I seriously feel like I’m living in a fairytale when I stay here. We are making it a point to come here every other month.
I have to say, Andrea’s breakfast is one of a kind. She will make you the most incredible breakfast in the morning. SO delicious, definitely a breakfast worth so much. My boyfriend is a chef so even he was incredibly impressed.

A most amazing and magical place to be. From the welcoming hosts to Andrea‘s assistant in the kitchen and lastly Andrea herself. Just an amazing experience and the aura and vibe of this place. The food is phenomenal. Andrea knows what she is doing, and we were so blessed to have experienced such wonderful warmth and openness. The food is absolutely hands-down one of the best! A true Genuine, gem of Jerome.
Andrea and staff are so professional in the most creative and colorful place in design and spirit. We loved every day! The views were amazing! The rooms are beautiful! The breakfasts are phenomenal! Her gardens and koi ponds are inspirational. A must see and highly recommended! Thank you Andrea!
