THUMB IN THE DIKE

Water in general, water use, and water conservation are of prime concern to all of us in Jerome and no one is more strongly cognizant than we are since our gardens are one of the larger consumers. Hence, we are ever-vigilant when we see overflows. This week we discovered what we thought was an overflowing pot at the bottom of the front steps only to discover that the main line from the house had popped a pinhole leak right at the 90-degree fitting. Those junctures have proven to be problematic in many of our plumbing arenas, just so the next guy down the pike keeps eyeballs peeled.

Thank goodness we keep a pretty dang tight inventory of commonly-needed spare parts so Joshua was able to spring into action and solve the issue in short order. He took the opportunity to spruce up the wooden cover while he had it dismantled and it appears better than ever. Those fittings and his welding supplies are mainstays to our spare parts department and were replaced the same day. Go Joshua Go!
