DOWN TO THE WIRE
Anticipation builds as we await what we hope will be our next-to-the-last delivery from our Painless Stitches geniuses, Katie and Mike. Just a couple of pieces are still lacking their fresh paint-job and one glider needed some orthopedic surgery on his legs, now good and steady as new!

We are apparently on a project roll as we noticed that Cousin Cousine, the 10-year-old wisteria on the Maid’s Suite Front balcony, has finally made her way not only across the balcony and is filling in the iron mesh cover over the loveseat, but has bolted runners toward the roof and back of the house. Wanting to get ahead of her beautifully relentless trek, we contacted Roger Espinoza of Valley Fabrication in Cottonwood who constructed the balcony and overhang, to secure material for a simple trellis to guide Cousine on her path over the top of the mosaic. Joshua will begin fabricating that handiwork in the next week or so. Even though the trellis will eventually become invisible, we want to mimic the look and material of the balcony and iron mesh overhang.

Watch for snaps of the finished piece and us giving Cousine her baby steps.
