WE’RE GROWING RACCOONS IN BUNCHES!

Just a couple of days ago I was lamenting to Joshua that we had not seen any raccoon families this year then lo and behold, the camera was ‘incorrectly aimed’ so that we enjoyed the following happy surprise! Mama finally showed with what appeared to be 4 rambunctious babes just learning the ropes of climbing. We couldn’t resist showing what a bundle of dangling, clustered raccoons look like albeit a few of the images are a bit blurred.

Look for tangles of little tails, eyeballs, and face masks. Hopefully as they mature, we shall see more of them.

That same evening, we captured a very new and tentative skunk baby noshing on Jasper’s food. Notice the posture of his hind leg as he tries to steady himself.  Truly adorable . . .
