APPLEBOY STRIKES AGAIN

Talk about a double-edged sword . . . we had some of the most spectacular monsoons this season and they were accompanied by typically gale-force winds. The yards and gardens virtually sang with joyful excitement. While they were singing, we lost nearly all of what was an already misery crop of apples and pears this year as the wind ripped the unripe fruits right off the trees.

Today was fruit-picking day at TSH yielding absolutely NO PEARS; however, we salvaged and cut-up for freezing as many of the apples as possible. The 2022 apple crop is five bags full and headed for cobblers and other deliciousness for your next visit!
