In reviewing our three stealth cameras around the feeding and water station, some days the delight is overwhelming. Today was that day. Earlier this week we saw our first albeit poor image glimpse of two raccoon babies carefully led down the path by mama.
Our patience was rewarded today with the arrival overnight of what we are assuming is a second family of FOUR seemingly smaller/younger babies. We calculate that each babe is smaller than a football so can you imagine how intimidating climbing the tree is even after mom leads the way? Their antics and mama’s teaching techniques are just too precious. See for yourselves . . .
As a follow-up to our surprise lilies, look at the surprises just 24 hours after our last post – amazing.
