What could be better than a tea party, and HIGH TEA ta’boot complete with garden hats, English tea cozy and hand embroidered table linens, in the garden on a splendid summer afternoon? In Andrea’s nearly 28 years here, this is a FIRST but hopefully not the last. Miss Emily and her gram Bonnie hosted her entourage of family and friends who show us all how to do it right, eh? And a good time was enjoyed by all. . .you might want to hire her to organize one for you on your next visit.
P.S. Be aware that affairs of this magnitude can take the starch out of you as our hostess opined that folks don’t sit in chairs like this anymore (one of my old fainting couches) and doesn’t it just conjure F. Scott, Zelda, and the Great Gatsby?
