It has been nearly five years since Joshua first created the bamboo palapa cover to enclose our ugly albeit important filters and other equipment that supports our two precious ponds. Over the winter especially, it had finally begun to fall apart and in May we began to dismantle the decrepit old one and clear out in preparation for new construction (See WTH blog post And The Beat Goes On, 5/22/23 for the beginning of the story).
Take a look as Juan and Joshua prepped, framed, lashed the bamboo, carried (it was surprisingly heavy and more than a bit awkward) and installed our newly designed palapa cover. The new design is stellar and provides additional protection for the pond from falling debris. HEARTY CONGRATS & THANKS to the gents!
