Once we got our construction groove for our raised beds, Joshua shot through them like greased lightening!  He said he felt like he was building skinny coffins – ha.

We estimated that the average raised bed weight was 60-100 pounds depending on size. We also learned the hard way that the metal siding should go on IN PLACE and now we are divulging our new garden location.

Once they were on the roof, we adjusted our layout.

As the last step for the next siding phase, we cut metal to affix in place.

Feet were placed to raise and level the beds and we attached them to one another for stability. We move forward next week filing the beds with gravel for drainage and mix of compost, garden soil and ‘special magic dirt’ – stay tuned . . .
