WHEN IT RAINS, IT LEAKS

This last abrupt monsoon accompanied by gale-force (no joke) winds wrought havoc in the Master Suite and the garden garage loft. We were seriously in need of an ark! Here is what we found.

There was actually moss and a puddle of water on the main roof so the water has been sitting there for some time. A long-term Jerome resident and 20+ year roofer extraordinaire, Eric Lerette, came to the rescue with not only his expertise and keen powers of observation but also his ‘miracle stuff’, Through the Roof, carried exclusively by Ace Hardware.

This stuff is pricey as all get out but he believes it is the finest foolproof product on the market. He suggests that before winter we completely recoat the main roof with elastomeric which is on the preventative maintenance list for the beginning of next month. This isn’t of much interest to visitors but the next fortunate owner of TSH will want to know.
